Victoria’s annual concert series and chamber music festival, Quartet Fest West, runs from June 26-July 8 on the beautiful University of Victoria campus. QFW 2023 brings together two of Canada’s most beloved string quartets, long-time friends and colleagues, the Lafayette and Penderecki Quartets. Also performing and giving masterclasses is UVic’s alumni quartet, Cuarteto Bellas Artes (formerly the Chroma Quartet, Canada’s first Graduate String Quartet). This will be the last year with the Lafayette String Quartet before they retire as an ensemble.
