Victoria Premiere of Abigail Richardson-Schulte’s Quartet “All for One”

Join the LSQ as they introduce the third newly commissioned quartet from the B.K. Weigel Legacy Project. This work "All for One" was composed by Abigail Richardson Schulte. Mozart's Quartet in B flat K 589 and Borodin's second quartet are also on the program. Ms. Richardson will give a pre-concert talk at 7:00 PM

Waterloo, Ontario-THE MUSIC ROOM!

The LSQ returns to their favourite home-away-from-home at the Kitchener Waterloo Chamber Music Society. This remarkable concert series offers over 55 concerts per year in the unique and intimate setting of the Music Room. Let’s hope Covid allows it this season! Concert includes the Waterloo Premiere of Abigail Richardson-Schulte's "All for One",  Mozart's K 589 and Borodin's second quartet.

Berea, OH Baldwin Wallace University

The LSQ returns to Cleveland, OH, the home of their second violinist, Sharon Stanis and performs at Baldwin Wallace University, Conservatory of Music. Program includes Mozart K 589, All for One by Abigail Richardson Schulte and Borodin's Quartet No. 2.  

Ann Arbor, MI

Returning to their old stomping grounds, the LSQ is delighted to be performing for family and old friends. Public is welcome, but seating will be limited. Program will include selections from Mozart K 589, Richardson-Schulte and Borodin 2.

The LSQ is excited to present Vivian Fung's latest brilliant and fiery quartet "Spiraling" to Victoria audiences. The fourth quartet presented in Victoria as part of a series of works composed by female composers commissioned by the Lafayette String Quartet. Vivian will be giving a pre-concert talk at 7:00 PM. Shostakovich Quartet No. 4 and Beethoven's Op. 59, No 3 are also featured.

Nicola Lefanu is the only non-Canadian composer in this series of five commissions. This brilliant British composer is known for her This is the final newly commissioned quartet of the season and the LSQ is thrilled to be pairing it with another remarkable quartet by non other than Lefanu's mother, Dame Elizabeth Violet Maconchy LeFanu an Irish-British composer, considered one of Britain's finest.
