The British composer, Nicola LeFanu’s String Quartet No. 5 is the final newly commissioned quartet of the season and the LSQ is thrilled to be pairing it with another remarkable quartet (No. 3) composed by LeFanu’s mother, the late Dame Elizabeth Violet Maconchy (1907-1994), considered one of Britain’s finest composers.

Shostakovich Two Preludes and Fugues (arranged by R. Dubinsky) are also on the program.

The concert is scheduled to start at 8pm.

Admission is FREE but it is advisable to reserve a seat.
