DESCRIPTION:The British composer\, Nicola LeFanu's String Quartet No. 5 is the final newly commissioned quartet of the season and the LSQ is thrilled to be pairing it with another remarkable quartet (No. 3) composed by LeFanu's mother\, the late Dame Elizabeth Violet Maconchy (1907-1994)\, considered one of Britain's finest composers.\n\nShostakovich Two Preludes and Fugues (arranged by R. Dubinsky) are also on the program.\n\nThe concert is scheduled to start at 8pm.\n\nAdmission is FREE but it is advisable to reserve a seat.\n\nRegister here by 4pm on Thursday\, March 23.
