DESCRIPTION:The LSQ's Final concerts on August 18th and 20th are now sold out.\n\nA waitlist is being taken on Eventbrite.\n\nClick here  for more information.\n\nSold out/7:00 PM\, August 18th 2023\n\nSold out/2:00 PM\, August 20th 2023\n\nJoin Ann\, Sharon\, Joanna and Pam as they say farewell with a performance in their beloved Phillip T Young Recital Hall at the University of Victoria.\nTheir home audience (and friends\, students and family flying in for the event!) will be treated to gems from their tremendous history together as the Lafayette String Quartet. The first quartet that they ever performed (in the summer of 1985 in Finland!) Haydn's sunny Op. 20\, No 2 in C major will start off the program. Then\, honouring their great mentor Rostislav Dubinsky\, they will perform Shostakovich's 8th quartet. The program will end with Beethoven's transcendent Op. 127 in E-flat major.\nAll concert ticket holders are invited to attend the celebration immediately following the concert in the School of Music.\nTickets for this concert are by donation with all proceeds going to the B.K. Weigel Fund in support of continued excellence in Chamber Music at UVic's School of Music. Suggested donation $10-$50. \nWe apologize that the Eventbrite website does not let you order multiple tickets. This is because the event is by donation. We tried to remedy the problem but could not. THANK YOU to everyone who has already ordered their tickets and donated so generously!\n\nEveryone is invited to the reception in the A wing following the concert! (approx. 4:30-6:00)
